Last year, Wild.com wanted help from our fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help us select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Play each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. Last year's winner was Jason Zucker's first-career goals against Detroit. We had so much fun, we're going to do it again this year.
This season, we're getting help selecting the top play each week from our friends at Dairy Queen.
Last week's winner was the first-career goal of Mathew Dumba, who scored at home against the Dallas Stars.
This week, we have a couple of pretty goals and an unbelievable save. Up first, the Wild's power play makes seven quick passes skating up the ice before Jason Pominville finishes high to the glove side. The second nomination comes from goaltender Josh Harding, who shutdown a two-man break with a sliding stop against the Lightning. Finally, we have an entry from the Wild's captain, Mikko Koivu, who went top shelf against Tampa Bay for his first of the year.
