Last year, Wild.com wanted help from our fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help us select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Plays each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. We had so much fun, we're going to do it again this year.
Last week belonged to Dany Heatley after he connected on a mid-air swing and punched a line drive past Pekka Rinne and into the net.
This week didn't feature anything in the way of Wild wins, but there were some solid candidates produced when it came to pretty goals. Heatley is in contention again with his goal that set the record for fastest Wild goal to start a game. Heatley's linemate, Devin Setoguchi, will put two of his plays up for nomination. One came against Vancouver when he shook off a check and then sniped one past Cory Schneider. Two nights later, he pumped in another one after a pretty centering feed from his other linemate, Mikko Koivu:
