The Wells Fargo Wild Road Tour Leg Two contingent - which includes television announcers Dan Terhaar and Mike Greenlay, Wild vice president of communications/broadcast, Bill Robertson, and Kathleen Borschke - met at Wild headquarters at 4:00 PM on Sunday to load and prepare the Star Limousine bus, which will be providing transportation for this year’s tour. The Wild family truckster cruised over to the airport to pick up Derek Boogaard and Josh Harding

The excitement is palpable for the entire group, as only one person has been a part of past tours, and that’s the grizzled veteran, Greenlay, who is notorious for Tour pranks.
After picking up Derek and Josh - the crew stopped for a Bar-B-Cue feast at Famous Daves in Forest Lake. Mike was looking forward to his dinner being served on the top of a garbage can, but that didn’t happen this evening. After a fabulous dinner, the team headed north to Ely, their first stop.
Moments after boarding the bus from dinner, the broadcast team put their heads together and built make-shift poker table with boxes. Piled in the very back of the car, we all enjoyed Texas hold ’em for a good two hours. However, we do not condone gambling, therefore we played for buttons and tiddly winks.
Following the game, we kept with the card theme, watching the majority of Rounders before pulling into the Grand Ely Lodge, which would be our home for the night. Dan and Angie from the Lodge checked the group in. Both Derek and Josh were lamenting the wake-up calls which would be looming at 7:00 AM for breakfast at the Evergreen Restaurant in the Grand Ely Lodge.
On the car ride up, road tour polos were handed out when the first mishap became evident. Derek Boogaard received XL shirts....not sure if those will fit, may be a little snug. Hope everybody bought their tickets to the "gun show!"
We’ll check in again tomorrow!
