Home: Development Camp 2009
The on-ice portion of Day 2 of Wild Development Camp 2009 was held at St. Thomas Ice Arena in Mendota Heights. Nice facility. Temperature inside arena must have been just above freezing. It was COLD. Twenty-one players were on the ice today, including Petr Kalus, who was on the ice after missing Tuesday’s session with the flu and he looked good.

Nick Leddy and Sean Lorenz did not skate today. They both missed practice due to their college class schedule. Lorenz flew back to Notre Dame for an exam he is taking today, actually. And you thought you were busy?

Following the power skating session, Luke Strand and Troy Ward spent a lot of time talking to the players before and after each drill. Don Lucia stopped by to watch practice and chatted with Erik Haula before everyone got back on the bus and headed back to St. Paul.

The team has a fun day ahead of them. They will be attending tonight’s Twins game and will have a chance to meet All-Star Justin Morneau during batting practice. Stanzel will be back Friday.
