Dec. 26, 2008

Friday, 5 p.m. CST

The Wild returned to practice today after taking the mandatory two-day break for Christmas Eve and Christmas. Some players had family in the stands today during practice, including Marc-Andre Bergeron.

In all, 21 players were on the ice for an hour-long practice. Bergeron, Kurtis Foster, Marian Gaborik and Owen Nolan, however, did not skate with the team today. Nolan skated by himself before practice and Head Coach Jacques Lemaire thinks he will be ready to practice with the team again following its game on Dec. 31.

Lemaire was impressed with how the players skated today after the break, but he did express concern about how tomorrow’s skate would go. Either way, he expects that the team will back in game shape and ready to go Sunday against the Blackhawks.

Practice forward lines:

Andrew Brunette - Mikko Koivu - Antti Miettinen
Cal Clutterbuck - Eric Belanger - Stephane Veilleux
Colton Gillies - James Sheppard - Pierre-Marc Bouchard
Craig Weller - Krys Kolanos
Beniot Pouliot - Derek Boogaard
