The Minnesota Wild and Caribou Coffee announced a multi-year partnership that makes the popular Minnesota-based coffee company the official coffee of the Minnesota Wild.
Caribou Coffee is available where hot beverages are sold throughout Xcel Energy Center. The partnership includes sampling opportunities at Wild events, in-arena activation, and social media engagement around the team’s game-day infographic. Additionally, the Wild and Caribou partner on cancer awareness initiatives like Amy’s Blend to support breast cancer awareness.
“We are proud to partner with Caribou Coffee to make an impact on such important causes in our community,” said Carin Anderson, vice president of corporate partnership for the Minnesota Wild. “This partnership is also a perfect marriage of things Minnesotans rely on to get through winter – great hockey and great-tasting coffee.”
One of the partnership highlights includes a Caribou Coffee Twitter takeover with Wild forward and Minnesota native Zach Parise. Caribou’s Season of Surprise holiday campaign will come to life on Caribou’s Twitter account (@Caribou_Coffee) with Parise fulfilling fans’ holiday wishes using real-time personalized video messages. Caribou Coffee will give out $10,000 in holiday gifts within an hour on the brand’s Twitter account on a date unknown to fans in December.
“Caribou Coffee is thrilled to be a new partner of the Minnesota Wild and provide the fuel to keep fans engaged in the sport we Minnesotans love,” said Michele Vig, Chief Marketing Officer of Caribou Coffee. “We’re excited to partner with the Minnesota Wild beyond at the Xcel Energy Center and surprise Caribou Twitter followers with a surprise Secret Santa, which comes in the form of an NHL All-Star and Minnesota native.”
