Road Tour Day 2: Q & A With Coyle, Zucker

by Lindsay Kramer / Minnesota Wild

You’ve both been on Road Tour before, what made you want to do this again?

Charlie Coyle: I really like meeting the fans and trying to give back as a thank you for all their support.

Jason Zucker: I love being able to make it up north and visit the fans who may not get the chance to make it to games.

What do you like best about the Road Tour?

Coyle: I really love meeting new people and interacting with them.

Zucker: I enjoy spending time with my teammates and the Wild staff members. And obviously the fans. They are the reason for the entire tour.

What’s the strangest thing a fan has had you sign on the Tour, this year or in years past?

Coyle: A kid asked me to sign his foot.

Zucker" Last year a guy asked me to sign his forehead. A little odd.

Jason, played against UMD when you played at DU, what’s it like to be a fan favorite this time around?

The fans have been great. They still give me a bit of grief about playing at DU, but it's all in good fun. It's great to be back as one of them this time around.

Jason, you’re probably used to traveling going to tournaments in your parent’s car growing up, Charlie how are you handling the long bus rides?

Coyle: I pass the time on the bus by talking to the boys and sleeping.

Zucker: I listen to music and play games on my iPad.

Other than working out, do you have any other summer plans?

Coyle: I'm going on a family vacation to the Carolina's.

Zucker: I've already been on a family trip to Utah and we're going on another to California. And I'm going to spend as much time as I can hanging out with my super awesome cool dog, Maverick.

You’ve been to Hibbing and Duluth, Bob Dylan’s hometown and where he grew up. Are you guys Dylan fans?

Coyle: I don't know. Has Eric Church covered any of his songs?

Zucker: I'm not real familiar with his work.
