ST. PAUL, Minn.
-- Television cameras rolled quietly, Twin Cities writers took their notes, and hulking digital cameras clicked away at Doug Risebrough's press conference Tuesday in a nearly full back room of Tom Reid's downtown St. Paul restaurant.
Surrounded by the Hockey City Pub's hockey memorabilia, Risebrough took five minutes to address those to whom he was most thankful during his tenure as the Wild's general manager, pointing out that Minnesotans made him feel not only at home by way of their values, but that he also felt duly challenged by their passion for Minnesota Wild hockey.
Risebrough, who will with his family depart on a long vacation Wednesday, also said he looks ahead to the next phase in his career, though he remains uncertain about where it may take him.
