Two nights later, Iowa opened up the first game of a back-to-back against Rockford with a 3-2 SO loss. Nick Swaney recorded two goals while Zane McIntyre stopped 35-of-37 shots faced.
In its final game before the All-Star break, Iowa fell to Rockford 3-2 in OT. Swaney scored his third goal in two games and Walker recorded his second goal of the week. Wallstedt stopped 40-of-43 shots faced.
Through 45 games, Iowa remains in third place in the Central Division with a record of 22-14-9 (53 points). Walker (21-19=40),Joe Hicketts (4-30=34) and Petan (13-20=33) lead Iowa in scoring. Walker leads all AHL rookies in points and PPG's, T-1st in goals and SHG's, and fourth in plus/minus. Walker's 21 goals are T-5th in the AHL.
Wallstedt is 13-7-4 with a GAA of 2.60 and a SV% of .913 while McIntyre is 9-7-4 with a GAA of 3.08 and a SV% of .846. Wallstedt was named Goaltender of the Month for January, with a record of 6-0-0, a GAA of 1.16 and a SV% of .958.
