The Iowa Wild went 1-2-0 in its first three games of the 2016-17 season, including a split in its season opening weekend series against the Manitoba Moose...The Wild fell in the first meeting against the Moose 3-1 on Friday at Wells Fargo Arena (10/14)...D Gustav Olofsson scored the lone goal with assists from D Steve Czarnowczan and F Alex Tuch...G Alex Stalock earned the loss, stopping 20-of-23 shots...Iowa won the second meeting vs. Manitoba with a 3-2 shootout win on Saturday in Des Moines (10/15)...F Zack Mitchell (1-1=2) and D Zach Palmquist (0-2=2) led the team with two points apiece...F Sam Anas also netted a goal during regulation while Tuch scored the shootout winner...G Steve Michalek earned his first win of the season with 33 saves through overtime and stopped all four shootout attempts...The Wild fell in its third game of the week against the Grand Rapids Griffins on Tuesday, 4-3 in Iowa (10/18)...Palmquist (1-1=2) and F Grayson Downing (0-2=2) each led Iowa with two points...F Joel Eriksson Ek made his North American debut and scored his first AHL goal...Stalock made 26 saves in the loss...The Wild continues its seven-game homestand, hosting Charlotte on Friday and Saturday (10/21 & 10/22) and Cleveland on Tuesday (10/25).
