Prospect Report: March 23

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, traveled 
to the west coast for two games last week.

Iowa fell in its first match 5-1 
against the Stockton Heat on Friday at Stockton Arena (3/18). F Grayson 
Downing scored the lone goal for the Wild with assists from D Christian
 Folin and F Marc Hagel. G Leland Irving stopped 31-of-36 shots.

The Wild earned a point in its second match with a 3-2 overtime loss against the San Jose Barracuda on Saturday at SAP Center (3/19). F Brett Bulmer and F Christoph Bertschy each scored for Iowa during regulation. Irving made 30 saves through overtime.

F Zack Mitchell leads Iowa with 36 points (20-16=36) in 60 games this season. Downing ranks second with 35 points (17-18=35) and also ranks T-10th in goals amongst AHL rookies and T-16th in rookie scoring. Bertschy ranks fourth with 31 points (10-21=31) in 62 games. Irving is 10-19-5 with a 2.77 GAA, .912 SV% and one shutout in 35 games. G Steve Michalek is 6-3-0 with a 2.46 GAA and a .919 SV% in nine games.

The Wild will host the Chicago Wolves in back-to-back games this Friday and Saturday.
