Iowa Wild 2015-16 Record: 15-30-6, 36 points


The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 1-2-
0 in three games last week.

Iowa won its first contest 4-2 against Grand
 Rapids on Friday at Wells Fargo Arena (2/12). Defnseman Gustav Olofsson (0-2=2)
and F Zack Mitchell (1-1=2) led the Wild with two points each. Forward Tyler Grao
vac, forward Jordan Schroeder and forward Christoph Bertschy each netted a goal. G
oalie Stephen Michalek made 35 saves.

The Wild fell 4-3 in its second contest
 against the Griffins in Des Moines on Saturday (2/13). Olofsson led the team with two assists. Forward Grayson Downing, Mitchell and forward Kurtis Gabriel scored a goal apiece. Michalek stopped 34-of-38 shots.

Iowa suffered a 2-0 shutout loss in Head Coach David Cunniff’s debut against Milwaukee on Sunday at BMO Harris Bradley Center (2/14). Goalie Leland Irving made 21 saves.

Downing (14-16=30) and Mitchell (18-12=30) each lead Iowa with 30 points this season. Downing ranks tied for 10th in the AHL in rookie scoring. Mitchell leads the Wild and ranks tied for 14th in the league in goals. Schroeder (11-18=29) ranks third with 29 points. Bertschy ranks fourth with 28 points (9-19=28) and is tied for 15th in the league in rookie scoring.

Irving is 7-15-3 with a 2.71 GAA, .914 SV% and one shutout in 26 games and is 14th in the league with 719 saves, tied 15th in save percentage and 18th in minutes played (1,506). Michalek is 3-1-0 with a 2.02 GAA and a .945 SV% in four games.

The Wild will visit Chicago on Thursday and Milwaukee on Sunday before hosting Manitoba on Monday.
