The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 2-1-0 in three games last week.

The Wild fell 3-2 in its first contest against the Moose on Wednesday at Wells Fargo Arena (3/30). F Colton Beck and F Zac Dalpe each scored for Iowa while F Rob Bordson and F Grayson Downing tallied an assist apiece. G Steve Michalek made 24 saves.

Iowa won the second contest, 4-2 against Manitoba in Des Moines on Friday (4/1). D Guillaume Gelinas (0-2=2), D Dylan Labbe (1-1=2), F Mario Lucia (0-2=2) and F Christoph Bertschy (1-1=2) each led the Wild with two points. G Leland Irving stopped 21-of-23 shots.

The Wild earned a 4-3 overtime victory in the third contest of the week against the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday at BMO Harris Bank Center (4/2). F Marc Hagel led Iowa with two assists. Labbe, Downing and F Kurtis Gabriel each scored for the Wild while D Tyson Strachan netted the overtime winner. Michalek made 28 saves through overtime.

Gabriel was named Iowa’s IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Year for his outstanding contributions to the Des Moines community during the 2015-16 season (3/31).

F Zack Mitchell (20-17=37) and Downing (19-18=37) share the team lead with 37 points this season. Downing also ranks T-8th in goals amongst AHL rookies and T-17th in rookie scoring. Bertschy ranks T-3rd on the team with 34 points (11-23=34) in 67 games while leading AHL rookies and ranks T-12th overall with 173 shots.

Irving is 11-20-5 with a 2.73 GAA, .912 SV% and one shutout in 37 games. Michalek is 7-5-0 with a 2.59 GAA and a .913 SV% in 12 games.

The Wild will travel to San Antonio for back-to-back games this Friday and Saturday before hosting Grand Rapids on Monday.
