Prospect Report: April 13

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 1-0-2 in three games last week.

Iowa earned a point in its first contest with a 4-3 shootout loss against San Antoino at AT&T Center on Friday (4/8). D Joe Finlay led the Wild with two goals while F Mario Lucia also netted a goal. G Leland Irving stopped 30-of-33 shots through overtime and two-of-three shootout attempts.

The Wild gained another point in its second contest against the Rampage with a 4-3 overtime loss on Saturday in San Antonio (4/9). F Colton Beck led Iowa with three points (2-1=3). F Zack Mitchell (1-1=2) and F Marc Hagel (0-2=2) each tallied two points. G Steve Michalek made 25 saves.

Iowa won its third contest of the week with a 3-0 shutout victory against Grand Rapids on Monday at Wells Fargo Arena (4/11). Forwards Chase Lang, Beck and Alex Petan each scored for the Wild. Irving recorded his second shutout of the season, stopping all 37 shots faced.

Mitchell leads Iowa with 41 points (21-20=41) in 67 games this season. F Grayson Downing ranks second with 38 points (19-19=38) and also ranks T-9th in goals amongst AHL rookies and T-19th in rookie scoring. F Christoph Bertschy ranks third with 35 points (11-24=35) in 70 games. He ranks second amongst AHL rookies and T-15th overall with 180 shots. Irving is 12-20-6 with a 2.66 GAA, .914 SV% and two shutouts in 39 games. Michalek is 7-5-1 with a 2.69 GAA and a .910 SV% in 13 games.

The Wild will close out its 2015-16 season with three games this week, hosting Rockford on Wednesday and Chicago on Friday before visiting Chicago on Saturday in the season finale.
