Iowa goes winless last week; Jordan Schroeder and Gustav Olofsson lead team with nine points each

The Iowa Wild went 0-2-1 in three games last week. The Wild fell in its first contest, 5-4, against the Checkers on Thursday at Wells Fargo Arena (11/10). D Gustav Olofsson (0-2=2) and F Teemu Pulkkinen (1-1=2) led the team with two points each. F Pat Cannone, F Mario Lucia and F Kurtis Gabriel netted a goal apiece. G Steve Michalek stopped 42 of 47 shots.

Iowa dropped its second contest against Charlotte, 4-1, on Friday in Des Moines (11/11). Olofsson scored the Wild's lone goal with assists from Cannone and Pulkkinen while Michalek made 26 saves to earn the loss. The Wild suffered a 6-5 shootout loss in its third contest of the week against the Reign on Saturday in Iowa (11/12). Cannone (0-2=2) and Pulkkinen (0-2=2) led the team with two assists each. F Jeff Hoggan, F Adam Gilmour, F Alex Tuch, D Maxime Fortunus and Lucia each scored for the Wild. Michalek stopped 35 of 40 shots through overtime and three of five shootout attempts.

F Jordan Schroeder (4-5=9) and Olofsson (2-7=9) currently lead Iowa with nine points. Tuch ranks third with eight points (2-6=8) and ranks T-9th amongst AHL rookies in assists and T-15th in points. Michalek is 4-3-1 with a 3.08 GAA and a .921 SV% in 10 games and ranks T-3rd in the league in games played. Stalock is 1-5-0 with a 4.46 GAA and a .865 SV% in six games. Iowa will finish its six-game homestand hosting Rockford on Wednesday (11/16) and Chicago on Friday (11/18) before traveling to the Wolves on Saturday (11/19) and Manitoba on Tuesday (11/22).
