Gerald Mayhew leads Iowa with 12 points

The Iowa Wild went 1-2-0 in three games last week. The Wild fell in its first game of the week, 3-0, against Chicago Thursday at Wells Fargo Arena (11/7). G Kaapo Kahkonen stopped 12-of-14 shots. Iowa dropped its second game of the week, 3-2, vs. Ontario Saturday in Des Moines (11/9). F Gerald Mayhew and F Nico Sturm each scored for the Wild. Kahkonen made 27 saves. The Wild won in its final game of the week with a 3-0 shutout victory against the Reign Sunday in Iowa (11/10). Mayhew, F Cody McLeod and Sturm netted a goal apiece. G Mat Robson earned his first career shutout, stopping all 17 shots faced.

Mayhew leads the Wild with 12 points (8- 4=12) in 10 games this season. F Sam Anas (3-8=11) and D Brennan Menell (1-10=11) rank T-2nd with 11 points each. Menell ranks T-6th in the AHL in assists and T-2nd amongst League defensemen in points and second in shots (49). F Gabriel Dumont ranks fourth with 10 points (5-5=10). Kahkonen is 6-2-0 with a 2.48 GAA and a .909 SV% in eight games, ranking T-3rd in the League in wins. Robson is 2-1-3 with a 1.78 GAA, a .942 SV% and one shutout in six games, ranking second amongst AHL rookie goaltenders in GAA and third in SV%.
