Iowa Wild's 66 points are already its third-most in franchise history

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild's American Hockey League affiliate, collected points in both of its games against Manitoba last weekend (1-0-1) and has earned points in 34 of its last 45 contests (24-11-10). 

The Wild sits at 66 points through 56 games this season, already its third-most in a single-season in the team's five-year history.

Iowa ranks third in the league in fewest power-play goals against (34) and T-6th with an 84.6 penalty kill percentage (187-for-221) this season. The Wild is T-9th with 46 power-play goals and with a 18.7 power-play percentage. Iowa also ranks fourth in the AHL in fewest total PIM (635). 

Iowa took a point in its first contest against Manitoba with a 5-4 overtime loss Saturday at Bell MTS Place (3/3). F Zack Mitchell led the Wild with two points (1-1=2) while F Sam Anas, F Cal O'Reilly and F Ryan White each scored. G Niklas Svedberg stopped 28-of-33 shots. 

The Wild defeated the Moose in the second contest, 4-3, Sunday in Manitoba (3/4). F Kurtis Gabriel (0-2=2), Mitchell (1-1=2), D Ryan Murphy (0-2=2) and D Carson Soucy (0-2=2) each led the team with two points. F Pat Cannone, D Zach Palmquist and White netted a goal apiece and G Steve Michalek made 35 saves. 

O'Reilly leads the Wild with 45 points (10-35=45) in 55 games this season - just one point shy of tying the franchise record for most points by a Wild player in a single season. He also ranks T-6th in the league in assists and T-18th in scoring. 

Anas ranks second on the team with 44 points (20-24=44) in 50 games and ranks T-4th in the AHL with three shootout goals. F Justin Kloos ranks third with 38 points (16-22=38) and ranks T-7th amongst AHL rookies in PPG (7) and scoring, T-9th in goals and 11th in assists. 

Svedberg is 16-10-5 with a 2.48 GAA, a .920 SV% and two shutouts in 31 games this season and Michalek is 10-5-4 with a 3.03 GAA and a .909 SV% in 19 contests. 

Iowa finishes its six-game road trip, visiting Texas Wednesday and San Antonio Friday before hosting Manitoba Sunday and heading back out on the road to Rockford Tuesday.
