The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild's American Hockey League affiliate, went 1-2-0 in three games last week. The Wild ranks T-5th in the AHL in shorthanded goals (7) this season, sixth in goals (159) and penalty kill percentage (83.4), seventh in points and T-8th in wins.

Iowa dropped its first game, 4-2, against Bakersfield Friday at Rabobank Arena (2/1). F Gerald Mayhew and F Mason Shaw each scored for the Wild while G Kaapo Kahkonen made 29 saves. The Wild suffered a 4-1 loss in its second game against San Diego Saturday at Pechanga Arena San Diego (2/2). F Luke Kunin netted the sole goal with assists from F Joel Eriksson Ek and F Kyle Rau. G Andrew Hammond stopped 30-of-33 shots. Iowa earned a 4-2 victory in its third game of the week against San Jose Tuesday at SAP Center at San Jose (2/5). D Michael Kapla (0-2=2), Mayhew (2-0=2) and F Matt Read (0-2=2) each led the team with two points. F Colton Beck and D Louie Belpedio also scored apiece while Kahkonen made 24 saves.
F Cal O'Reilly leads Iowa with 37 points (8-29=37) in 39 games this season and ranks T-8th in the AHL in assists. Mayhew ranks second with 33 points (15-18=33). Read (11-13=24) and Shaw (4-20=24) rank third with 24 points each. Shaw also ranks T-9th amongst AHL rookies in assists. Hammond is 11-7-1 with a 2.74 GAA, a .912 SV% and one shutout in 19 games this season. Kahkonen is 13-9-4 with a 2.51 GAA, a .914 SV% and five shutouts in 26 games and ranks T-1st amongst League goalies in shutouts, eighth in GAA and T-11th in SV%.
