Mayhew leads the AHL with 30 goals

The Iowa Wild went 2-0-1 in three games last week and is 6-2-2 in its last 10 contests. Iowa ranks T-4th in the AHL with 58 points. The Wild lost 4-3 in a shootout at Grand Rapids on Wednesday. F Gerald Mayhew scored twice, F Sam Anas tallied a goal and an assist, D Brennan Menell recorded two assists and G Kaapo Kahkonen made 43 saves. F Nico Sturm scored the lone goal and Kahkonen stopped all 33 shots faced in Iowa's 1-0 home win vs. Manitoba on Friday. The Wild claimed a 4-3 win vs. Manitoba on Saturday at Wells Fargo Arena in its final game before the AHL All-Star Game. Anas, Mayhew, F Will Bitten and F Kyle Rau scored and G Mat Robson made 33 saves. Mayhew leads the AHL in goals (30), ranks T-1st in PPG (11) and GWG (6), second in scoring with 47 points (30-17=47) and T-4th in shots (142). He has recorded a point in 15 of the last 16 games (16-11=27). Anas leads the AHL in PPA (23), ranks T-1st in assists and T-3rd in scoring with 46 points (14-32=46). Menell ranks second amongst AHL defensemen in assists, T-3rd in scoring with 32 points (4-28=32) and T-7th in shots (103). Kahkonen ranks T-3rd in the AHL in shutouts and wins and T-7th in GAA.
