Iowa records franchise-best four-game winning streak

The Iowa Wild went 2-1-0 in three games last week. Iowa won the first contest against the San Antonio Rampage, 4-1 on Friday at AT&T Center (1/13). F Sam Anas (1-1=2) and F Mario Lucia (0-2=2) led the team with two points each. F Jeff Hoggan, F Zack Mitchell and F Christoph Bertschy netted a goal apiece. G Alex Stalock stopped 30 of 31 shots. 

The Wild won the second contest against the Rampage with a 2-1 overtime win Saturday in San Antonio (1/14). Bertschy scored both Iowa goals to help the Wild stretch its win streak to a franchise-best four games while Stalock made 33 saves. Iowa had its win streak snapped with a 3-1 loss against San Diego on Monday at Wells Fargo Arena (1/16). F Kurtis Gabriel scored the lone goal for the Wild with assists from forwards Marc Hagel and Adam Gilmour. G Steve Michalek stopped 29 of 31 shots.

F Teemu Pulkkinen leads Iowa with 26 points (12-14=26) in 30 games this season while also leading the team in goals. F Pat Cannone ranks second with 21 points (5-16=21). F Alex Tuch ranks third on the team with 18 points (8-10=18). Stalock is 12-10-2 with a 2.66 GAA, a .910 SV% and two shutouts in 25 games and ranks T-6th amongst league goalies in shutouts, seventh in minutes played (1,397) and T-8th in wins. Michalek is 6-9-1 with a 2.76 GAA and a .916 SV% in 18 games. Iowa continues its four-game homestand this week, hosting Grand Rapids (1/18) and Texas (1/20 & 1/21).
