Gerry Mayhew leads the AHL with 24 goals

The Iowa Wild went 1-1-1 in three games last week. The Wild won its first game of the week with a 3-2 victory at San Diego (1/8)…F Sam Anas (2-0=2) and F Gerald Mayhew (0-2=2) each led the team with two points. G Mat Robson stopped 28-of-30 shots. Iowa earned a point in its second game of the week with a 4-3 overtime loss at San Diego (1/10). Anas (1-1=2) and Mayhew (1-1=2) tallied two points apiece. Robson made 30 saves. The Wild fell in its final game of the week, 5-2, at Bakersfield (1/11). F Dmitry Sokolov led the team with two points (1-1=2) and G Kaapo Kahkonen stopped 22-of-26 shots. Anas ranks T-2nd in the AHL in scoring with 41 points (12-29=41). Mayhew leads the AHL in goals (24), ranks third in shots (124) and T-4th in scoring with 39 points (24-15=39). Rau ranks third on the team in scoring with 33 points (8-25=33) and has recorded a point in 14 of his last 16 games (4-20=24). D Brennan Menell ranks T-5th amongst AHL defensemen in scoring. Kahkonen ranks T-5th in the AHL in wins.
