Minnesota used three, third-period goals en route to a 5-1 victory versus Calgary in front of 17,708 fans Tuesday night at Xcel Energy Center. C Mikko Koivu and LW Zach Parise each netted three points to lead Minnesota while G Josh Harding made 24 saves. Next up, Minnesota travels to Washington to face the Capitals Thursday at 6 p.m. CT on FOX Sports North and KOOL 107.9.

Minnesota won its third straight game and has now won six of its last seven contests. The Wild moved to 7-1-2 in Saint Paul this season, having won seven of its last eight contests at Xcel Energy Center – the most points earned at home by any NHL team this season. Minnesota finished its four-game homestand with a 3-1-0 record.

Minnesota matched its season high with five goals, as its three goals in the third were its most in a period this season. Minnesota scored five goals for just the second time against Calgary in Saint Paul. Minnesota scored at least four goals for the third straight game, the first time it has accomplished that feat since Jan. 16-19, 2011.

C Mikko Koivu put Minnesota on the board with his second goal of the season and registered two assists for his first multi-point game this season and 21st three-point game of his career. He also won 11-of-15 faceoffs (73.3%). The Wild Captain is now T-3rd on the Wild with 11 points this season (2-9=11).

LW Zach Parise tallied two goals and an assist for his third multi-point game of the season, his 27th career three-point game and 31st career two-goal game. With five power-play goals, he now ranks T-2nd amongst all NHL players this season. He also claimed the team lead with 14 points (8-6=14) in 16 games this season.

G Josh Harding made 24 saves and moved to 8-2-1 with an NHL-leading 1.09 GAA and .951 SV% this season, including a 7-0-0 record with a 1.05 GAA and .952 SV% at Xcel Energy Center. This season, no other goalie has amassed more than five wins on home ice without accruing a loss. He is now 29-9-2 in his career at Xcel Energy Center, including 22-4-1 since Jan. 27, 2010 and 11-1-0 in his last 12 starts in Saint Paul.

D Ryan Suter registered two assists on the night, his second multi-point game of the season and 50th of his career. He skated a game-high 30:34 TOI – his sixth game topping 30 minutes of ice time this season. He now has 10 assists in 16 games this season – T-6th amongst NHL defensemen.

C Zenon Konopka scored Minnesota’s fourth goal – earning his first point with the Wild.

RW Torrey Mitchell tallied an assist to stretch his point streak to three games (1-2=3). He has four points for the Wild this season.

C Charlie Coyle returned to the lineup after missing last game with a lower-body injury and assisted on Koivu’s goal for his first point in four games this season.

C Mikael Granlund saw his five-game point streak (1-6=7) end while RW Jason Pominville’s goal streak ended at four games (6) – both Wild season highs.

In his first career action against Minnesota, G Reto Berra made 19 saves for Calgary, while C Jiri Hudler scored for the Flames.

Minnesota played in its 1,000th NHL game in franchise history, moving to 440-385-141 in 966 regular season games.
