Minnesota earned its second consecutive win with a 2-1 victory over Arizona on Saturday night in front of a sellout crowd of 19,111 at Xcel Energy Center. C Charlie Coyle, LW Jason Zucker and LW Zach Parise each scored for the Wild as G Devan Dubnyk made 25 saves. Next up, the Wild hosts its last January home game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday at 7 p.m. CT on FOX Sports North and KFAN 100.3 FM.

Tonight’s contest was part of the Ninth Annual Wells Fargo Hockey Day Minnesota. The Wild moved to 7-1-1 all-time on Hockey Day Minnesota, including six straight wins.

The Wild outshot the Coyotes, 33-26. Minnesota has outshot its opponents in six of its last seven games, totaling a 251-189 advantage. The 251 shots since Jan. 6 rank first in the NHL. Overall, the Wild has outshot its opponents in 34-of-44 games this season (77.3%).

C Charlie Coyle netted the Wild’s first goal of the game. He has five points (2-3=5) in his last nine games and has 19 points (5-14=19) in 44 games this season.

LW Jason Zucker tallied the Wild’s second goal, his 16th of the season. He has five points (4-1=5) in his last seven games and ranks T-1st on the team in goals.

LW Zach Parise scored an empty-net goal for Minnesota’s third goal. He has points in 15 of his last 24 games, totaling 10-11=21 in that span. He shares the team lead in goals and ranks second in points (33).

C Mikko Koivu tallied an assist on Parise’s goal and won 16-of-25 faceoffs (64.0%). He has eight points (1-7=8) in his last 10 games, 19 points (4-15=19) in his last 25 games and 24 points (6-18=24) this season.

RW Nino Niederreiter registered the primary assist on Coyle’s goal. He has posted three assists in his last six games and ranks third on the team in goals (14).

D Christian Folin earned his first career point streak, tallying an assist in his last two games. He has six points (1-5=6) this season.

RW Justin Fontaine earned the primary assist on Zucker’s goal. He has two points (1-1=2) in his last three games and 12 points (4-8=12) in 38 contests.

In his return to the lineup, D Marco Scandella played in his 200th career game. He recorded two shots, a hit and tied a season-high plus-3 rating in 24:48 TOI. He missed five games due to an upper-body injury.

C Ryan Carter played in his 400th career game, skating 9:14 and registering two shots and a blocked shot.

G Devan Dubnyk earned his second win in a Wild jersey, making 25 saves. His shutout streak ended at 93:26. He also tallied the primary assist on Zucker’s goal becoming the sixth Wild goalie to earn an assist and first since Backstrom on Dec. 12, 2011 vs. NJ – Dubnyk’s second career assist. He is 2-0-0 with a 0.50 GAA, .977 SV% and one shutout in his two games with Minnesota.

C Antoine Vermette scored for Arizona and G Mike Smith made 30 saves.
