Post Game Notes vs. Phoenix (Dec. 1)

RW Scottie Upshall scored twice and G Jason LaBarbera made 33 saves, as the Phoenix Coyotes outlasted the Minnesota Wild 4-2 in front of 17,101 at Xcel Energy Center.

G Jose Theodore made 32 saves, C Matt Cullen and C Mikko Koivu each scored and RW Pierre-Marc Bouchard returned to the lineup for the first time in 14 months for Minnesota, which plays host to Calgary on Friday.

RW Pierre-Marc Bouchard played in a game for the first time since Oct. 3, 2009, having missed the last 104 games with a concussion. Bouchard had missed 112 of 113 games since originally suffering the concussion, March 25, 2009. Bouchard skated 14:05. Bouchard became the 30th player to play for the Wild already this season. In 2009-10, the Wild used a team-record 40 players.

C Matt Cullen scored his sixth goal of the season – his first even strength goal. Cullen has four PPG and one SHG. Cullen’s goal snapped the Wild’s scoreless streak at 118 minutes, 15 seconds.

C Mikko Koivu scored his fifth goal of the season – first in six games.

D Marek Zidlicky notched an assist. He now leads all Wild defensemen with 13 points (3-10=13) in 18 games.

RW Patrick O’Sullivan picked up an assist, giving him three points (1-2=3) in five games since being acquired off waivers from Carolina.

G Jose Theodore appeared in his fourth straight game – third start – and made 32 saves.

Minnesota lost for the first time this season against the Pacific Division (2-1-1).

Minnesota has lost three straight in regulation for the first time since Jan. 14-Jan. 18, 2010.

Phoenix went 0-for-2 on the power play as the Wild snapped a streak of three straight games allowing a PPG.

The Wild recorded 35 shots, giving the team 30 or more shots in three straight games for the first time this season.
