made 23 saves for Minnesota, which is at Columbus on Monday before returning home to host San Jose on Wednesday.
D Brent Burns notched his 10th goal this season, becoming the first defenseman in Wild history to reach the 10-goal plateau twice. He set the team record in 2007-08 with 15 goals. Only five defensemen have reached the mark, including Burns.
The Wild had a three-game win streak snapped, tied for its season-high. Minnesota had outscored opponents 10-3 in those three games.
Minnesota lost in regulation for the first time in six home games (2-1-3) against Detroit.
The Wild fell to 2-3-3 all-time on Dec. 26.
