LW Zach Parise scored his first goal in a Wild uniform and G Josh Harding made 24 saves for his seventh career shutout, leading Minnesota past the Dallas Stars 1-0 in front of a sellout crowd of 18,296 at Xcel Energy Center. RW Dany Heatley and RW Pierre-Marc Bouchard added assists for Minnesota, which is 2-0-0 and plays host to Nashville on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The Wild is 2-0-0 for the first time since 2008-09, when it started 4-0-0.
Harding made eight saves in the first period, 11 in the second and five in the third for his seventh career shutout. Harding, who won a career-high 13 games last season, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis over the summer. Harding improved to a stellar 23-11-2 all-time at Xcel Energy Center, with a 2.06 GAA and a .928 SV%.
LW Zach Parise scored his first goal as a member of the Wild. He has three points (1-2=3) in his first two games. Parise has 13 points (6-7=13) in 10 career games against the Stars.
