G Marty Turco made 25 saves and RW Troy Brouwer, D Duncan Keith and C Jake Dowell scored a goal apiece, as the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Minnesota Wild 3-1 in front of a sellout crowd of 18,376 at Xcel Energy Center. G Niklas Backstrom made 29 saves and D Marek Zidlicky scored for Minnesota, which hosts San Jose on Tuesday.

D Marek Zidlicky scored his second goal of the season. It marked his fifth even strength goal in two-plus seasons with the Wild. Fifteen of Zidlicky’s 20 goals with the Wild have come on the power play.

C Mikko Koivu had an assist and has a point in six consecutive games (1-5=6). Koivu has tallied a point in nine of the Wild’s 10 games this season (3-8=11). Koivu had a career-high seven-game point streak Nov. 24-Dec. 5, 2008.

LW Andrew Brunette has an assist in back-to-back games for the first time this season. Brunette has six points (2-4=6) in 10 games this season.

G Marty Turco, pulled after allowing four goals on 12 shots last night against Edmonton, made 25 saves. Turco is 15-4-1 with a 1.97 GAA and a .916 SV% in his career against the Wild, including a 6-2-1 mark at Xcel Energy Center, with a 1.92 GAA and a .922 SV%.
