SAINT PAUL, Minn. -Minnesota Wild General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired forward Nicolas Deslauriers (pronounced NIH-koh-las duh-LOHR-ree-AY) from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a third round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.

Deslauriers, 31 (2/22/91), collected 10 points (5-5=10), 90 penalty minutes (PIM) and 210 hits in 61 games with Anaheim this season. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound native of LaSalle, Quebec, led the Ducks in PIM and ranks fifth in the NHL in hits this season. He has recorded 82 points (41-41=82), 498 PIM and 1,483 hits in 486 career NHL games in nine seasons with Buffalo, Montreal and Anaheim (2013-22). Deslauriers ranks 12th in the NHL in hits since the start of the 2014-15 season. Deslauriers notched 127 points (35-92=127) and 243 PIM in 223 games during four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with Rouyn-Noranda (2007-10) and Gatineau (2010-11).
He was originally selected by Los Angeles in the third round (84th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft.
