SAINT PAUL -- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has re-signed restricted free-agent forward Zack Mitchell to a one-year, two-way contract ($660,000/$70,000).

Mitchell, 24 (1/7/93), appeared in 11 games with Minnesota in 2016-17, including his NHL debut at Pittsburgh on Nov. 10, 2016. The 6-foot-1, 184-pound forward registered 22 points (11-11=22) and 10 penalty minutes (PIM) in 62 games with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2016-17, leading the club with eight power-play goals. The native of Orangeville, Ont., has totaled 99 points (50-49=99) and 48 PIM in 208 games during three seasons with Iowa (2014-17). Mitchell originally signed with Minnesota as a free agent on March 4, 2014.
