Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has agreed to terms with defenseman Gustav Bouramman (pronounced BOO-ruh-muhn) on a three-year, entry-level contract.

Bouramman, 19 (1/24/97), posted 46 points (6-40=46) and 43 penalty minutes (PIM) in 68 games with Sault Ste. Marie of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in 2015-16, ranking T-3rd amongst all OHL defensemen in assists and T-5th in scoring. The 6-foot, 189-pound native of Stockholm, Sweden, led OHL rookie defensemen and ranked T-14th in scoring overall amongst OHL defensemen in 2014-15, posting 44 points (5-39=44) and 14 PIM in 67 games with the Greyhounds. His assist total ranked T-5th among OHL defenseman and his plus-33 rating was third best amongst OHL rookies. Bouramman totaled 28 points (10-18=28) and 24 PIM in 2013-14, splitting the season between Lulea's Under-18 and Junior teams in Sweden. The blueliner was selected by Minnesota in the seventh round (201st overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
