The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild, in conjunction with KSTC.TV, Channel 45 announced today that Emmy-nominated “Minnesota Wild Country” will make its 2007 season premiere live from the Xcel Energy Center, Saturday, January 6 at 6:30 PM.
Segments of this edition of “Minnesota Wild Country” will contain live interviews with current players, including Pavol Demitra sitting down in the “Penalty Box” with 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS anchor Vineeta Sawkar. The show will also feature a “behind-the-scenes” look at the Minnesota Wild as well as an interview with former player Brad Bombardir, who now serves as the team’s Director of Community Partnerships.
Host Clay Matvick will anchor “Minnesota Wild Country” at its regularly scheduled time throughout the rest of the NHL season every Saturday at 5:00 PM and again on Sunday at 11:00 PM, starting on January 13 and 14.
On January 6, both “Minnesota Wild Country” and the Minnesota Wild game against the Colorado Avalanche can be seen on KSTC.TV, Channel 45, on Comcast cable channel 12 and in high definition on channels 45.2, Comcast 206 in Saint Paul and Comcast 1610 in Minneapolis.
To watch the game in high definition on 45.2, fans will need an antenna and a high definition receiver. Comcast subscribers can watch Channel 45 in high definition on channel 206 in Saint Paul and channel 1610 in Minneapolis, provided you have Digital cable and have high definition television.
