Minnesota Wild Announces Local Broadcast Schedule For 2016-17

The Minnesota Wild, in conjunction with FOX Sports North (FSN) and KFAN 100.3 FM, has announced the team’s local broadcast schedule for the 2016-17 National Hockey League season.



FOX Sports North’s 71-game regular season schedule includes 34 games from Xcel Energy Center and 37 on the road this season. Nine of those telecasts will be presented on FOX Sports North PLUS. A total of 66 games will be simulcast on FOX Sports Wisconsin, extending the team’s reach to an additional 1.5 million homes. As previously announced, 11 games will also be televised on NBCSN (including one joint broadcast with FSN), and one on NBC.

KFAN 100.3 FM will continue to be the Wild’s flagship station on radio. The Wild now has 43 affiliates spanning five states across the Wild Radio Network.

FOX Sports North will televise the first Wild game of the regular season at 7 p.m. CT on Thursday, Oct. 13 at St. Louis. Coverage will begin with a one-hour edition of “Wild Live” beginning at 6 p.m. CT, and will follow the game with a one-hour postgame show. FOX Sports North will debut a half-hour special “Wild Season Preview” on Friday, Sept. 30 at 10:30pm, or immediately following “Twins Live” postgame. “Becoming Wild” also returns with the new season premiering Thursday, Oct. 13, immediately following the “Wild Live” postgame show.

New this season, all Wild games televised on FOX Sports North will also be streamed live on FOX Sports GO. FOX Sports GO is available to customers of participating pay-TV providers on iOS, Android, Fire tablets and Fire phones, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Roku, Windows devices, and online at FOXSportsGO.com. Fans can download the mobile app for free from the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and Windows Store.

Minnesota Wild telecasts on FOX Sports North will feature play-by-play announcer Anthony LaPanta, color analyst Mike Greenlay and reporter Kevin Gorg. Tom Hanneman and Audra Martin will host Wild Live before and after every game with analysis from Wes Walz, Tom Chorske and Ben Clymer.

KFAN 100.3 FM enters its sixth season as the official radio flagship home of the Minnesota Wild. Bob Kurtz (play-by-play), Tom Reid (analyst) and Kevin Falness (studio host) will continue to capture all the action, each in their 17th season covering Wild hockey. Coverage of each game will begin with a 15-minute pre-game preview and conclude with the 30-minute Coors Light Postgame Show. KFAN will also continue to host “Wild Weekly,” as well as “Wild Fanline” after select Wild games.
