Miettinen Will Play At Worlds

by Glen Andresen / Minnesota Wild
If he can ever get a flight back to Europe, Antti Miettinen will represent Finland at next month's World Championships in Germany. Miettinen becomes the second Wild player to agree to play in the tournament after it was announced last week that Brent Burns would play for Team Canada.

Miettinen is the first of the five Wild Olympians to commit to playing at the World Championships. Miettinen played in five games at the Olympics and registered one goal in Finland's semifinal loss to the United States. This will be his fifth appearance at the Worlds. He has played 32 World Championship games with five goals and eight assists to his credit.

Goaltender Anton Khudobin will be representing Russia at the 2010 LG Hockey Games in Stockholm, Sweden from April 29 to May 2. The tournament is part of the Euro Hockey Tour 2009-2010. Russia is one of four teams competing including Sweden, the Czech Republic and Finland.
