Kurtis Foster takes to the ice

by James MacDonald / Minnesota Wild
"Wasn't tired at all," Foster said Tuesday afternoon, a few hours removed from his time on the ice. "Just hurt to do some stuff, but it was so good to get out there!" - Kurtis  Foster, Sept. 9
Talk about a long time coming.

While this won't serve as a lengthy update, the headline should tell you all you need to know.

Kurtis Foster skated on Sept. 9, the first time he had put blades to ice since breaking his left femur last March in San Jose.

Foster, who recently passed a point where he could walk occasionally without a limp (around the time WildTV caught up with him -- click here to launch), skated for under an hour, and his plan is to skate again Wednesday.

Wild.com will continue to keep fans updated on Foster's progress.
