The Minnesota Wild has caught up to the Pinterest craze. Just call us the "Pinnesota Wild!" (sorry)
You can now ‘pin’ your favorite photos, images and other cool stuff related to your favorite hockey team, the Minnesota Wild.
The Wild has officially launched a Pinterest page, the Social Media site that “allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web.” Social Media is all about sharing similar likes and interests, and Minnesota’s Pinterest page is a place where fans can share photos with descriptions of all things Minnesota Wild and the State of Hockey.
The Wild's Pinterest page (Pinterest.com/nhlwild
) is not just about beauty, but also having fun. You'll want to check out the Wild Look Alikes board, in which Wild players are matched up with their celebrity doppelgangers. There's also a Hockey Bucket List Board, which highlights all of the types of hockey you have to try at least once in your lifetime.
Of course, a big factor in Pinterest's success has been fashion, and the Wild also has boards dedicated to style for Wild fans.
Boards will continue to be posted throughout the offseason, and into the regular season.
Described as a virtual pinboard, Pinterest allows users to find, connect and organize similar interests through boards, a visual soup of images and idea pins.
A pin is an image added to Pinterest. Pins can be added from a website using the ‘Pin It’ button, or users can upload images from a computer. Each pin added using the ‘Pin It’ button links back to the site that it came from.
A board is a categorical set of pins, and can be created on any topic. Users can add as many pins to a board as they want. Currently, the Wild’s Pinterest page has eight boards and will keep growing, especially with the help of our "Pinning" Wild fans.
