MINNESOTA COACH JACQUES LEMAIRE QUOTES
Sunday, December 11, 2005 versus Buffalo
Another familiar scenario.
“Yeah, too bad that last tip there, that was very similar to our last game, but I look at how the guys have been playing the last ten games or so, and they’ve been playing hard, and that’s what we want. They can go playing the same way, and we’ll get some bounces.”
Is it hard to have the guys keep working and not get rewarded for it?
“Well, first of all it’s their job. I don’t think it’s hard. You know they get down after the game or when it happens you live with it for a little while, and after they know it’s a new day, it’s a new game, so you got to scratch, you got to skate, and you got to keep going.”
Was this as tough as it has gotten?
“In the last two games we lost the game with five minutes to go. We’ve just got to find a way to bear down more towards the end of the period. Make sure defensively that shouldn’t be happening. We’ve just got to keep going to the buzzer and do what ever it takes. That was a weird bounce and obviously luck is not on our side. We’re going on the road for one game, we’ve just got to keep going.”
