MINNESOTA COACH JACQUES LEMAIRE QUOTES
Friday, October 14, 2005 versus Vancouver
Your thoughts on the game:
"The game overall wasn't that bad. We didn't have the legs that we normally do. I thought we played a little tired tonight. We had a lot of shots from their point men, but not as many quality shots as I thought they would have had. They covered the ice pretty well. We made a pass and someone was always there to intercept it. We seemed to kill off penalties pretty well, but one mistake and the puck is in the net."
Any benefit from playing a team twice in a row:
"You get to know them a lot better. Know their tendencies and how they're playing, but you have to be on your toes, because when you play a good team and they loose the first one, theirs a real good chance you could loose the second one. But tonight we didn't create enough scoring chances and thus lost the game."
Did they come out tonight the way you expected them to:
"Yeah, I figured they'd come out on top of us early in the first period. They got a couple breaks early and they got the crowd out of it. They stuck to their game plan, did a great job against us, and did what they had to do to win the game. So you have to give them credit the way they rebounded from Wednesday nights game."
What happened on Richard Park’s goal:
"I was looking for him to make a pass as he was coming down the far side. But he made a great shot because normally he likes to go far side with it."
