Ian Andersen - Video Coordinator

Ian Andersen is set to begin his first season as the Wild’s video coordinator. In this role, he is responsible for pre-scouting all opposing teams, as well as analyzing each game as it occurs. Andersen will work directly with the Wild coaching staff and use the XOS hockey editor to break down game film.

Andersen, 30 (11/19/74), spent the past two years as Assistant to the Head Hockey Coach at Michigan State University, where he organized all aspects of team video and managed the operating budget. He was also the Hockey Operations/Video Coordinator at the University of Notre Dame from 2000-2003.

The Portland, Oregon, native is a 1999 graduate of St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Science. Andersen was also a four-time letter winner for the St. John’s hockey team as a goaltender. In addition, he held the role of Goaltending Coach for the College of St. Benedict women’s hockey team during the 1997-1998 campaign.
