ST. PAUL -- Hiway Federal Credit Union® (Hiway), the Minnesota Wild and Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk are partnering to propel youth hockey players towards volunteerism through a new program that will help support kids being treated for complex conditions, rare disorders and traumatic injuries at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare.

Hiway Hockey Kids4Kids encourages youth hockey teams to use their own creative ideas to raise funds for Gillette Children's. Teams that raise $500 or more will be qualified to win a one-of-a-kind team party in a suite at the Minnesota Wild - Detroit Red Wings game on Sunday, March 4, 2018. The winning team, selected at random, will also be feted with an exclusive pregame tour of the Xcel Energy Center, meet members of the Minnesota Wild and receive merchandise from the Wild and Hiway.

Dubnyk will serve as the official ambassador of the program.

"The State of Hockey is also the state of community service," said Hiway Federal Credit Union President and CEO David Boden. "Youth hockey teams know that working hard and working together will give them a great chance to win. We encourage them to put that same effort into supporting kids who may not be able to play the game due to serious conditions or injuries. Not only will they help a great cause, they'll learn the power and joy that comes with giving."

"The Minnesota Wild is committed to create a greater state of hockey through our core principles of pride and fire, selflessness, unity and creativity," said Matt Majka, president of the Minnesota Wild. "I can think of no better program that reflects those ideals than Hiway Hockey Kids4Kids."

"We are so thankful for the support of Hiway Federal Credit Union, the Minnesota Wild, Devan Dubnyk and youth hockey players in helping to raise money and awareness for Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare," said Dennis Jolley, Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Gillette. "Their support on behalf of kids experiencing health challenges will make a real difference right here in Minnesota."

Hiway Hockey Kids4Kids will run from November 14, 2017 through February 10, 2018. Any youth hockey team that is governed by Minnesota Hockey, the official governing board of youth hockey in the state, is eligible to participate. Details and registration information can be found at www.hockeykids4kids.org
