Former Minnesota Golden Gopher Danny Irmen has been recalled by the Minnesota Wild, and is expected to make his NHL debut tonight against the Phoenix Coyotes. Irmen, a third round pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, has been called up before but has yet to play a game. The Fargo, North Dakota native has scored six goals among 10 points in 17 games with the Aeros thus far this season.

Irmen, 25 (9/6/84), recorded 10 points (6-4=10) including two game-winning goals in 17 games with the Aeros this season. The 6-foot, 195-pounder recorded 18 points (7-11=18) and 39 penalty minutes (PIM) in 69 contests with Houston in 2008-09 and added two goals in 20 playoff matches.  Irmen played three seasons at the University of Minnesota (2003-06) and recorded 103 points (54-49=103) and 146 PIM in 118 games. will wear sweater number 40.
