Fantasy Spotlight: MIN vs. VAN

by Carly Peters / Minnesota Wild

Fantasy Pick: Antti Miettinen

Minnesota winger Antti Miettinen could be called the forgotten man on the Wild's top line. He's paired with Mikko Koivu, who's not only the team's heart and soul as its captain but has been lighting up the scoring charts, along with Andrew Brunette, who has played well as he's reached the impressive 1,000-game milestone this season. But Miettinen has been one of the top offensive players on the Wild in 2011 and it's time for the man affectionately known as Mittens to get his deserved spotlight.

Miettinen scored the game-winning goal in the Wild's win Saturday against St. Louis and now has nine points (4-5=9) in his last seven contests. He also holds a four-game point streak (2-4=6) against tonight's opponent, the Vancouver Canucks.

On the season, Miettinen has helped his linemates rack up the points while totaling 26 points (11-15=26) in 46 contests himself.
