Fantasy Spotlight: MIN vs. SJ

by Carly Peters / Minnesota Wild

Fantasy Pick: Cal Clutterbuck

Since he first got the call to the NHL, Cal Clutterbuck has been an important part of the Wild lineup. His fast, physical game continues to bring energy to the Wild night-in and night-out, and his ability to get under opponents' skin with bone-crushing checks leads to multiple chances on the power play. This season, Clutter has continued with with those trademark moves, but he's also turned into a nightly offensive threat.

Clutterbuck is tied for the team lead with 10 goals this season. In total, he's tallied 15 points (10-5=15) and 22 PIM in 35 games this season. He's on pace to shatter his career high of 21 points (13-8=21), set last season. As Clutter did in each of the past two seasons, he leads the NHL with 165 hits.

Clutterbuck is riding the hot stick after scoring a goal in the Wild's last game Monday, and totaling three points (2-1=3) in his last four games. His wrist shot from the circles continues to be one of the most wicked weapons in the Wild locker room.
