Fantasy Pick: Chuck Kobasew
There have been many, many reasons for the Wild's sudden climb up the Western Conference standings and to narrow it down to one player would be foolish. However, it's hard to ignore the fact that Minnesota's success has come with a healthy Chuck Kobasew back in the Wild lineup.
Over the past 11 Wild games, Kobasew has tallied five goals, tied with Cal Clutterbuck
for most in that span. He also ranks second on the team with a +6 rating in those 11 games.
Kobasew has played 16 consecutive games since missing 14 games with a groin injury earlier this season, and the Wild is 10-4-2 since his return. He's had no problem moving from line to line, most recently filling in for an injured Antti Miettinen on the top line and looking great alongside Mikko Koivu
and Andrew Brunette.
Kobsew now has eight points (7-1=8) in 27 games this season. He most recently had a three-game point streak at the end of December and, after tallying the game winner in last night's victory in Pittsburgh, could very well start another point streak tonight against the Stars.
