Fantasy Pick: Martin Havlat
Martin Havlat has found his offensive touch alongside none other than two of the most defensive-minded forwards on the Wild. Playing with John Madden and Eric Nystrom, Havlat has garnered four assists in his last two games.
In the Wild's last game Sunday in Tampa Bay, Havlat totaled three assists, the most in a single game by a Wild player since he had three helpers Jan. 16, 2010 at Phoenix. He reached the feat for the fifth time in his career, tying his career-high for single-game assists.
Havlat is clearly heating up his play of late, totaling seven points (1-6=7) in his last six games. He has recorded at least one point in all but one of those contests.
On the season, Havlat ranks third on the Wild with 13 points (1-12=13) in 16 games, and his 12 assists are tied for the team lead with Mikko Koivu
Todd Richards has been hesitant to talk too much about how the change in linemates has affected Havlat's game, but he plans on keeping the three forwards together if the line continues to produce.
