Fantasy Spotlight: MIN at NYR

by Carly Peters / Minnesota Wild

Fantasy Pick: Pierre-Marc Bouchard

As the team anxiously awaited the return of Pierre-Marc Boucahrd earlier this season, the Wild brain trust often said that the addition of such a skilled player back into the lineup would be like a trade all its own. As Butch enters his fourth month of play since returning from a year off with concussion symptoms, it seems the hockey operations staff members and coaches were correct because Bouchard is showcasing he's still one of the most offensively skilled players in the League.

If you watched last night's game on Long Island, you could see Bouchard was one of the best players on the ice. Butch was skating around making brilliant passes, assisted on the Wild's lone goal and logged a season-high 19:47 time on ice. The talented Quebec native has picked up his game as the Wild has faced injury and illness of late.

Bouchard now has six points (2-4=6) in his past seven games, and is one of the team's leaders with 15 points (5-10=15) during the Wild's current 12-7-1 stretch. Butch now has 25 points (7-18=25) in 41 games this year.
