Fantasy Spotlight: MIN at CGY

by Carly Peters / Minnesota Wild

Fantasy Pick: Pierre-Marc Bouchard

Can you believe that it's only been seven games and 17 days since Pierre-Marc Bouchard returned to the Wild lineup? It's hard to imagine that someone can regain their form so quickly after being shut down for 14 months, but that's exactly what Butch has done.

Bouchard played so well in his first game back that he blasted past his expected ice time, jumping from the fourth to the second line in the process. In his second game back in the lineup, he netted his first goal in more than a year, against tonight's opponent, the Calgary Flames. And since then, Butch has put on a show, displaying some of the jaw-dropping passes we came to expect from him so many years ago.

After tallying an assist in the Wild's game Thursday vs. Ottawa, Bouchard now has five points (1-4=5) in seven games this season. And really, if you've been watching his unbelievable chemistry with linemates Martin Havlat and Kyle Brodziak, you know that point total could easily be doubled and no one would be surprised.

Look for Butch to remain red-hot tonight against the Flames, a team he's already scored against in his short time back and a team his linemates love to light up.
