Fantasy Spotlight: MIN at CBJ

by Carly Peters / Minnesota Wild

Fantasy Pick: Andrew Brunette

Andrew Brunette continued his hot play around the net last night, recording an assist in the Wild's 2-1 victory over Calgary in St. Paul. With the assist, Bruno now has a four-game point streak (1-3=4) - his first since Jan. 18-27, 2010 - going into tonight's game in Columbus.

Brunette hasn't had a longer point streak since Oct. 3-17, 2009, when he tallied eight points (5-3=8) in seven straight games to begin the season, but he could very well continue his current streak tonight in Columbus. Brunette continues to click with Mikko Koivu on the top line and adjusts quickly to whichever player Todd Richards decides to put with the two throughout a game.

Brunette hasn't missed a beat this season and is currently tied for third on the Wild with eight points (3-5=8) in 12 games. He also has played well against the Blue Jackets throughout his career, gathering 28 points (5-23=28) in 35 contests.
