Fans To Get Opportunity To Skate On Stadium Series Ice

The Minnesota Wild announced that fans will have a chance to skate on the 2016 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ ice shortly after the weekend’s events conclude.

On Tuesday, Feb. 23, fans who don’t already have plans to attend the Minnesota Wild – New York Islanders game at Xcel Energy Center, are invited to grab their skates and head to TCF Bank Stadium. The first of three, one-hour sessions of ice time will begin at 7 p.m.

For $20, fans will receive:

•One-hour of skating on the 2016 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series ice sheet

•Session I: 7 – 8 p.m.

•Session II: 8:15 – 9:15 p.m.

•Session III: 9:30 – 10:30 p.m.

•Hot dog, popcorn and soda or hot chocolate

•A Minnesota Wild clear plastic tote bag, courtesy of FOX Sports North

•Chance to win raffle prizes including a 2015-16 Minnesota Wild team-signed NHL Stadium Series jersey or team-autographed stick

Gates will open at 6 p.m. FOX Sports North’s telecast of the Wild-Islanders game, as well as “Wild Live” pre and post-game shows, will be shown live on the stadium’s video board. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Minnesota Wild Foundation.

Stadium Series Skating Party tickets are on sale now online at Ticketmaster or by calling the Wild offices at 651-222-WILD (9453). Fans may select their preferred skating session when ordering. Each session is limited to the first 250 skaters. Subject to availability.

On February 20-21, the 2016 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series will be held at TCF Bank Stadium. The historic weekend will begin with the NHL Stadium Series Alumni Game at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, featuring former greats from the Minnesota Wild, Minnesota North Stars and Chicago Blackhawks, reigniting memories of a legendary rivalry. FOX Sports North will televise the event in partnership with Comcast SportsNet Chicago.

The 2016 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series game will be held on Sunday, Feb. 21 at 2:30 p.m. between the Minnesota Wild and the Chicago Blackhawks, marking the first time a NHL game has ever been played outdoors in the state of Minnesota. The game will be televised nationally on NBC.

A limited number of ticket packages to the 2016 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series game and the NHL Stadium Series Alumni Game at TCF Bank Stadium are on sale now at wild.com/stadiumseries. The ticket package consists of one ticket to the 2016 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ game on Sunday, Feb. 21 and one ticket to the 2016 NHL Stadium Series™ Alumni Game on Saturday, Feb. 20.
