Throughout Camp, Colton Gillies will provide his thoughts on the experience. Gillies, a 6-foot-4, 189-pound forward from White Rock, B.C., was Minnesota's first choice in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft (No. 16 overall), and is attending his third such camp.

8:15 came way too early today. It seemed like I had just closed my eyes and -- bam -- the alarm was going off! I think it was the same for everyone because they all seemed to take a little longer to get to breakfast. I started my day off right with two eggs over easy, whole wheat toast, hash browns, orange juice and water, and then it was off to the rink.
We had two ice times this morning, with power skating for 45 minutes and a one-hour practice. The theme of today's practice was Offensive Attack Drills, so basically the forwards did all the work ... as usual! Ha ha!! Don't get me wrong, the defense worked hard too, but the forwards had it tough today!
After practice, everyone had lunch at the rink and then we had two hours off, so for some reason, I thought it was a good idea to do a leg workout after practice, as my legs were already hurtin' units from the power skating, but, hey, it's got to be done ... Oh, did I mention we had another power skating session today? Well, we did and it was really good, except that I have a feeling that I'm going to feel terrible tomorrow.
I would like to mention that Matt Kassian
tried to pull a prank on me today but failed miserably, so I hid his shoe, and only told him where it was just before he turned into an angry bear!
Everything was finished by 4 p.m. today, so Kassian, Cody Almond
, Carson McMillan
and I went to the Mall of America, and I took them all to my favorite store -- Buckle . I go there so much during the season that they know me by my first name! The girl that helps pick out my clothes gave the boys some style as well ... but you can only help Kassian out so much! Since this was the only night we get to go out, we decided to capitalize and go to see Ice Age 3 ... I know what you're thinking, you guys are nerds. It's OK, I know it! I'm now in my hotel room watching Music and Lyrics (I really like chick flicks ... again, I know!) and then it will be lights out.
