CALGARY COACH DARRYL SUTTER QUOTES
Sunday, March 19, 2006 versus Minnesota
Is it tough to play back to back games?
“It’s tough to play three games in four nights, especially being on the road. You have to take what you did last night that went well, and use it tonight.”
You were short handed seven times tonight. Can you talk about that?
“The calls around the net are close at best for both teams. The teams have to be careful, but then we have to be allowed to compete.”
Talk about your penalty killing as a whole tonight.
“The five on three was critical for us to kill off. Again there were some marginal calls. There are enough penalties you can call that you don’t have to call all the marginal ones as well. But a wins a win, and this was a big two points for us.”
You guys were out shot tonight but you were able to win.
“This was a big division game. This is a big win for us, a huge two points, especially after last night. We had to have a big effort. We have to come back here Tuesday and do the same.”
Did the coach say anything to you after last nights game?
“We have a lot of leaders in this room. We have to move on from last nights game. We have to put it behind us and worry about the games ahead of us. Like I said before, this is a big two points in a division game, and this time of year, you need as many points as you can get.”
